With over 25 years in the EFL industry, Gabi has worn many hats, from teacher and academic manager to teacher trainer. Specialising in needs-based learning and learner autonomy, she has devoted her career to crafting seminars, workshops, and training courses on subjects like creative methodologies and special educational needs. Gabi holds a Philosophy degree and DELTA, and is an accredited CELTA Trainer.

Hedi

CELTA Trainer, Director of Studies

Hedvig first graduated as a biologist and technical translator and later on as a teacher of English Language and Literature. She is also CELTA qualified and has over 15 years of experience of teaching English. She has prepared students for several different language exams, including Cambridge, Trinity and Language Cert and TELC. Her outside interests are science, energy medicine, reading, sports and travelling.

Steve Hirschhorn has been teaching and training teachers for around 40 years. He has lectured and delivered workshops from Peru to Japan and most stages in between, going the long way round! Steve has been a Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics, school Principal and Director of TESOL; he was External Examiner for three UK universities’ MA TESOL and English Language boards. He has written numerous articles on various aspects of teacher-training, teaching and learning language.

Harry wears many hats, both literally and figuratively. One of them is as a multi-award-winning teacher trainer, others include teacher, writer, climate activist, podcast host, TEDx speaker and hat wearer. 

His journey into sustainability-driven education culminated in the inception of Renewable English, a platform merging language learning with environmental consciousness. Neil Harris

Teacher Trainer & Director of Marketing@CELT Language School

Neil Harris started his career in ELT in 1993 after completing a CTEFLA with IH London. He quickly realized that language learning and teaching was his true passion. Neil has worked in a variety of roles in the UK and Italy, including as a teacher, Senior Teacher, EAP Lecturer, DoS, Teacher Trainer, Business Development Manager, and Director of Marketing. Currently, Neil focuses on developing online ESP medical English and teacher development programmes in his role in agent-based marketing and course development.

David Byrne

David Byrne has worked in EFL for over a decade and in that time has taught all the ages, levels and exams he could find. He’s worked in Ireland, England, Spain and South Korea, but the majority of his career has been spent in the UK where he currently works for EC English.

 

Mark Heffernan

Mark Heffernan has taught English for over 18 years. From the very beginning, he shared lesson ideas and started to run CPD sessions. He spent many years focusing on exam teaching before moving to Queen Mary University of London in 2016, where he teaches EAP and is a module convenor.

 

 

Luke Meddings

Award-winning Author & Teacher Trainer.

Luke Meddings is an award-winning author, trainer and international speaker. In 2000 he co-founded the Dogme ELT movement with Scott Thornbury, and their book Teaching Unplugged (Delta, 2009) won a British Council ELTon award in 2010. Since then Luke has trained extensively, and in 2011 set up independent e-publishing collective The Round with Lindsay Clandfield. Their own book, 52: a year of subversive activity for the ELT classroom, was published in 2012.

 

 

 

Marie Pettigrew

With a profound commitment to teaching, she specializes in English for Exams, notably IELTS, amassing nearly two decades of expertise. Mayra Crosthwayt

Teacher Trainer & ELT Specialist

Mayra Crosthwayt has extensive experience as a teacher and trainer across Mexico, Latin America, and recently, Asia. She has collaborated with international publishers as a consultant and has spoken at several international educational events. She successfully managed a school for business English in Mexico City for 7 years. She is a percussionist interested in exploring Latin folk and plays several types of drums in her band. 

Riccardo Chiappini

Award-Winning ELT Materials Writer, Editor & Teacher Trainer

Riccardo Chiappini is an ELT materials writer and teacher trainer based in Madrid, Spain. He is the author of Activities for Mediation: Building bridges in the ELT Classroom (DELTA Publishing/Klett), which has recently won the British Council ELTon award for Innovation in Teacher Resources. He has also written mediation-related and many other types of course materials for the Spanish Ministry of Education, National Geographic Learning, Macmillan, and Oxford University Press.

Dylan Gates

Trinity Cert TESOL Course Director Teacher Trainer & Course Designer.

Dylan is a highly experienced ELT professional. He currently lives and works in Spain as a freelance teacher trainer, business English coach, and course designer. His qualifications include an MA in Applied Linguistics and ELT, the Cambridge DELTA, and he was recently awarded a distinction grade on a course entitled ‘Online Teaching: Creating Courses for Adult Learners’.

Hugh Dellar is a teacher and teacher trainer with over twenty years’ experience in the field. Hugh has given teacher training and development sessions in over twenty countries. Holly Morgan is the Academic Coordinator at English Path and has been working and teaching in the ELT industry since 2014. She has worked in Spain, Japan and the UK and holds a BSc in English Language and a DELTA certificate from Cambridge Assessment. Lydia Summerfield

Lydia Summerfield is a Delta-qualified English teacher with a wealth of international teaching experience. In her professional trajectory, Lydia has served as the Academic Manager at a summer school in Bath. Additionally, she actively contributed to the British Council Prelim project, where she played a key role in designing and delivering a 10-week teacher training course for non-native English teachers.Beyond her role as an educator, Lydia is a certified mental health first aider.

 

 

Cristina Nicolaou

Cristina Nicolaou, with 15 years in ELT, is a CELTA trainer, Cambridge examiner (IELTS, BEC, FCE), and a TESOL Master’s holder from the University of Manchester. She’s pursuing a Ph.D., focused on student-centered, enjoyable classrooms that enhance communication between learners and the world.

Milica Vukadin

ESL Teacher & Teacher Trainer

Milica Alice Vukadin holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with double minors (one in TEYL and another in Serbian language teaching methodology for VYL) from the Faculty of Education in Jagodina, University of Kragujevac. She is especially proud of her Master’s thesis on environmental education in bilingual preschools, and she loves teaching young and very young learners.

Fiona Dunlop

Fiona Dunlop is the Academic Director at Wimbledon School of English, London (one of the oldest ELT schools in the UK). Fiona has been involved in many aspects of ELT over the past 20 years, including Teacher Training, Business English and Academic Management. She spent several years at International House Cairo and  Rio/Sao Paulo before returning to London in 1997. Ania Kolbuszewska

Teacher Trainer, Mediator & Former Eaquals Board Member

Ania has worked as a language teacher, trainer, manager and consultant, providing business and academic consultancy in mainstream and private education at primary, secondary, tertiary and further education level. She is also a mediator with a keen interest in conflict management theory and practice. She has been worked in Eaquals Accreditation and Consultancy Services as a former member and director. She was the Author for Eaquals Self-help Guide to Teacher Development, Eaquals management competency framework and Use of English materials for Pearson.

 

Jennifer Schmidt

Jennifer Schmidt has been a collaborator in 3 bilingual and international education master’s programs with the University of Alcalá in Spain for the past 13 years. She has been a teacher, trainer, and professor for over 23 years. She has created and taught over 100 courses in centers of teacher formation in all parts of Spain, Europe and worldwide. She specializes in maker education CLIL, project-based learning, social and emotional learning, creativity through music, cognitive skill development, neuroeducation, and growth mindset.

Sheila Corwin

Teacher Trainer

Sheila currently works as an expert teacher trainer in Florence, Italy where she designs and facilitates courses in teaching methodologies and approaches for both primary and secondary school teachers from all over the EU through the Erasmus+ program. In the same location, she has led the Weekend and Advanced TEFL courses in collaboration with the Europass Teacher Academy. She also works online as an instructor for the TESOL International Association and became the course director of ICAL TEFL, a teacher training company previously located in London, England; after working as an online tutor with them for many years.

Steve Tulk

Steve Tulk is an experienced teacher trainer and has held academic management and school management positions in the UK, France and Lebanon. Within the ELT classroom, Steve is particularly interested in diversity and representation, in particular making sure that students see ‘people like them’ in the lessons. Steve is also a big fan of increasing the representation of international accents in class materials.
